This photo was taken approximately two years ago at one of our regular Saturday afternoon luncheons.

In the picture is Livia Papadhimitri, Antonio Figola, Bernadette Scott, Mr. Goudas, Panos Goudas, Megan and Doug McCulough.

The reason we have posted it today is to announce the passing of Doug McCulough (the gentlemen, wearing the toque on the right).

Doug McCulough was instrumental in the creation of our sugar crushing, sorting and packaging machines.

Following up on the instructions of Mr. Goudas, engineering skills, Doug helped bring Mr. Goudas, dream to reality.

It was a tremendous undertaking to synchronize the formation of the carton, opening of the flaps, insertion of the glue, filling with the exact amount of product, and proper closing of the filled carton.
All this precision had to result in two cartons of packed product per second.

Doug McCulough was not only devoted to the responsibilities of his profession, but with his smooth personality, he had everyone working in harmony.

Every one liked him. We are saddened by his passing at the age of 66. He is survived by his wife and two children.

We extend our sympathy to his family and friends. His presence will be missed.
