Goudas Rice in Canada

To enhance the variety of his products, and extend it beyond meat and vegetables, Mr. Spyros Peter Goudas started in 1970 to think about producing a product that would be cheap enough, but also good enough to meet the standards of his multicultural consumers.
This inquiry was noticed by M. N. A. Syed C. E., who was a rice distributor.
He sold to Mr. Spyros Peter Goudas 10 containers of bulk rice, which was then packaged and firstly introduced to his consumers as a gift.

At that time, the price was 6 cents per pound. Although the rice was given to the customers for free, Mr. Goudas paid his distributor for the containers.

Unexpectedly, a company named Comet American Marketing, contacted Mr. Goudas and demanded a payment for the containers.

Since the containers had already been paid to Prabasee Business International (Syed's company), Mr. Spyros Peter Goudas gave the name of this company to Comet American Marketing; this company however could not be found anywhere, and Syed had disappeared from the face of the earth.
In this case, Mr.Spyros Peter Goudas made new arrangements with Jim Bessom for a new payment, and therefore ended up paying for those containers twice.

Because of his collaboration and honest business ethic, the company appointed Mr. Spyros Peter Goudas as their broker in Canada and gave him unlimited credit to flood the rice market and find the appropriate customers for each variety of rice.

Their business relationship lasted for decades, making Mr.Spyros Peter Goudas the number one brand of rice in Canada.
Comet American Marketing, which is the largest independent rice organization in the world, with years of experience in the rice field, made sure that the quality of the rice given to Mr. Goudas, from growing - to milling, to processing, was the best.

"Hello, my name is Jim Bessom.
I am the Vice President in charge of sales for Comet Rice.
Our headquarters is in Huston, Texas, and we're one of the largest independent, as a matter of fact, the largest independent rice miller in the United States.
We have plants in California, in Arkinsaw, Mississipi, and Texas.

We have been doing business with Mr. Peter Goudas for approximately 20 years now, and one of the first things that I learned in doing business with Peter is that you got to give the man the best rice, the best quality rice.

When he says "Mr. Goudas rice is nice" he's not kidding, because he knows that the best grains grown in the rice field in the Southern States are in his packages of Mr. Goudas brand rice, Parboiled and White Rice.
It's been a pleasure for us to do business with Peter; for twenty years the man has always done what he told us he would do, and we have enjoyed a remarkable relationship over the last twenty years, and we hope that this relationship continues.

We support Peter in his efforts to penetrate markets, and we do everything that we possibly can to make sure that the best rice available that is grown and milled in our plants is available to his customers under the Goudas label."
